It is important to keep good records when establishing the fair market value of personal and real estate contributions.
Below are a few examples of the most common ways to make a gift:
Planned Gifts
Bequest: Once the care of loved ones is secured, a bequest to "The Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus" can accomplish your charitable goals, as well. A bequest can be for a designated dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or a specific piece of property. It can be designated for either general or restricted purposes. A charitable bequest reduces the taxable portion of your estate for federal tax purposes. For more information regarding bequests, visit our Charitable Planning Guide. To notify the Detroit Province of your gift, please call the Development Office at 1-800-445-1621 or email: detdev@jesuits-det.org.

Payments can be paid to a person, a couple or family members, depending upon the arrangement created.
