Welcome Friend!
Our Work - How your gift helps
A gift to the Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus allows us to provide education, outreach ministry and social justice to those who need it most in Michigan, Ohio and around the world.
Our work would not be possible without your help. Your generosity and prayers make all the difference to ensure that God's mercy and justice prevail.
Help Jesuit Relief Efforts in Haiti
In response to the devasting earthquake in Haiti, the Chicago and Detroit Province is partnering with Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) to provide emergency relief to the Haitian people.
Lifesaving aid, including food, clean water and medical attention are among the most urgently needed items at this time. Please consider making a gift today to help provide relief to children and families affected by this tragedy. Every dollar will be directed in its intirety toward Jesuit Earthquake relief efforts coordinated by the Jesuits.
Jesuit Brother Jim Boynton, SJ was serving in Haiti when the earthquake struck, and has been active in rescue and relief efforts. As time permits he has been communicating via email. Read his dispatches
Jesuit Commitment to Education
The Jesuits are committed to education, especially to the children of the inner city. At Jesuit High Schools across Michigan, Ohio and around the world, the Holy Spirit guides students, faculty and staff helping them to become "men and women for others." In fact, TIME Magazine Lauds The University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy: Jesuit Message Drives Detroit's Last Catholic School. The school boasts a near perfect graduation rate and sends 99% of its graduates on to higher education. Please keep them in your prayers.

I lift my eyes to you
my help, my hope
the heavens (who
could imagine?)
the earth (only the Lord)
the infinite starry spaces
the worlds teeming breadth
All this, I lift
my eyes--
upstart, delighted--
and I praise.
